Graphic Novel: Neil Gaiman - Marvel 1602 - parts 1-8 + Sketchbook (Complete series)

Marvel 1602 -- more commonly known simply as 1602 -- was an 8-issue mini-series published in 2003-2004. The series was written by Neil Gaiman, who had never before written for Marvel despite his extremely celebrated status in both comics and novels -- but who struck a deal with Marvel to write a mini-series, the profits of which would be donated to the lawsuit fighting Todd McFarlane over the rights to Miracleman. Assigned to the project was the artistic team of the hit mini-series Origin: Andy Kubert and Richard Isanove, the latter of which provided digital colors with gradations half mimicking painting. Marvel imposed near-absolute secrecy over the project, originally planned for 2002 release, even through the delays that moved the series to the 2003 schedule.

Back in the early 1960s, Marvel Comics revolutionized and redefined the superhero genre. Amazing Spider-man, Uncanny X-Men, Fantastic Four, Incredible Hulk, Daredevil, Doctor Strange - within the span of five years, a dozen or so titles were launched that continue to this day. Of course, the stories within reflected the changing times; over the years, Marvel's characters have continued to change, and are just as relevant in the new millennium as they were four decades ago. But, what if the Marvel-verse had happened in another time, in another place? It's been imagined before, in fits and starts, from the occasional What If? one-shot, to the long-dead 2099 family of titles. Now, Neil Gaiman (creator of the DC title Sandman and author of the award-winning novel American Gods), in collaboration with artists Andy Kubert, Richard Isanove, and Scott McKowen, is putting a fresh spin, hopefully, on Marvel's beloved heroes and villains.

1602, an eight-issue miniseries debuting August 13, 2003, takes place in Europe at a time of great change. The Catholic Church's Inquisition is pursuing and rounding up "witchbreed", strange individuals with all sorts of unexplained abilities. Many of the witchbreed flee to the relative safety of England, where they are taken under the wing of Carlos Javier, an expatriate Spaniard with extraordinary abilities of his own. An elderly Queen Elizabeth sits on the throne of England - her ministers include Sir Nicholas Fury, her Minister of Intelligence, and Dr. Stephen Strange, her Court Physician and Magician. As issue #1 begins, Fury sends a blind Irish balladeer named Matthew Murdock to Europe to retrieve, from the last of the Templars, a mysterious item that may be either weapon or treasure. Unfortunately, this item has also come to the attention of Count Otto von Doom (also called The Handsome), ruler of Latveria.
All sorts of other odd things are going on, with strange weather, rumors of the end of the world, and a girl named Virginia Dare setting sail for England from the Roanoke Colony.

Gaiman got the idea for 1602 while participating in a comic convention in Venice, Italy, not long after the events of September 11th. He'd been mulling over the idea of doing a miniseries for Marvel, but by that time, he confesses, he didn't want anything with "skyscrapers, guns, bombs or planes in it. And the idea for 1602 fell straight into my head." Gaiman repeatedly insists that 1602 isn't a What If?, or anything like DC's Elseworlds - a puzzling claim since that's exactly what it is! The fact that it's a more comprehensive re-imagining than most such stories doesn't really change its "What If-ness". Says Gaiman: "Read it as a puzzle or and adventure. Things will become apparent as the story goes on."

The Supreme comic book series was started in 1992 by Rob Liefeld. One of Image Comics' founding members, Rob created many titles for the publisher, including this, his own version of Superman. The title continued under various writers and artists (all under the Liefled art influence) until issue 41. British comic book writer Alan Moore took over the title from then onwards, and reintroduced the characters as if starting the series from fresh. The series under Moore's direction featured 'flashback' chapters: introducing the rich and varied history of the character that Alan Moore had created for Supreme. The series gained critical and some sales success: it continued with the same team after Liefeld moved all of his titles to his own publishing house... twice! Eventually, in 1998, the comic market suffered a slowdown, and Liefeld as a publisher had run out of finances. All of the titles were suspended, and despite a short lived revival a year later the character's last adventures appeared in 2000.

In 1963, Alan Moore was 10 years old. By 1993, he had become a legend in the comic industry, thanks to his subversive work on DC's Swamp Thing and his highly original and inflammatory titles, V For Vendetta and Watchmen.
He had also become thoroughly disenchanted with his employer, DC Comics, and with the comic-book world as a whole. He feared that his influence would amount to nothing more than a general increase in violence and coarseness in what used to be a medium intended primarily for children.
To atone for what he considered to be his "crimes" against the superheroic sphere, Moore reached back to his pre-teen days and distilled his memories of the Marvel Bullpen into this charming, funny miniseries. It's light and frothy, and full of in-jokes for any fellow fogies who might remember the days when comics sold for less than a quarter.
Every issue of 1963 bears a different title emblazoned across the cover (Mystery Incorporated, Tales of the Uncanny, etc.), but it's all a ruse. The real title sits in the upper left corner, superimposed over Image Comics' lowercase "i". The characters are blatant and direct ripoffs of Marvel heroes from back in the day, and the panels are filled with footnotes to inform readers of which issues they have to pick up to get the all-important backstory on Horus' battle with The Fury ... or whatever.
There are fake letters to the editor and fake ads on the back cover ("Shamed By You English?") and lots of Moore's friends along for the ride (Roarin' Rick Veitch! Dashin' Dave Gibbons!) It's all a tremendous hoot, and might even be considered a dry run for his ABC America's Best Comics) titles, which debuted in 1999.

Evo ovako.
Kada ti se otvori prva strana skrolujes dole i kliknes na "Free",zatim ce ti se otvoriti sledeca stranica na kojoj ce:
1) ukoliko imas srece,negde na sredini videces odbrojavane (30 ili vise sekundi cekanja zavisno od velicine fajla), kada se ono zavrsi ostaje ti da ukucas sifru koja ce se pojaviti i da pocnes sa download-om.
2)ukoliko nemas srece
a) na sredini ces videti samokraci tekst tekst na cijem su kraju brojevi u zagradi (oznacavaju koliko minuta moras da cekas da bi mogao da pocnes sa Download-om) pa cekas i probas ponovo za navedeni broj minuta
b)ako imas jos manje srece pojavice se dugacki tekst bez brojeva koji znaci da neko vec download-uje sa tvoje IP adrese(sto znaci da je delis sa drugima-kao ja napr.) i ko zna koliko ces da cekas na red

Malo sam resio da organizujem ove linkove. Da se ne bi rasipali ko creva po citavom topic-u, sve dopune koje budem imao i obavestenja o stripovima dobijacete naknadno , a linkovi ce biti smesteni u grupe po autorima ili likovima, tako da ih je kasnije lako naci na jednom mestu. To vazi naravno za moje postove jer tudje ne mogu da editujem. Zasad sam preuredio onog Ross-a a uskoro cu ga i apdejtovati. Dodat je i Planetary #24 (vidi prethopdnu stranu). Uskoro nova iznenadjenja.
A potrudicu se da saberem i ostale,zanimljive i one koji jos rade, linkove sa foruma ovde. Ali jako malo vremena imam za racunarom tako da cete morati biti strpljivi.

@lazarus I meni je misterija, nekad MegaUpload radi, a u ve�ini slu�ajeva ne; no sa Rapidom nema problema, a to je, kako si i sam rekao, najva�nije.

@Za-gor-te-nay Skini RapGet sa linka koji sam postavio i u njega kopiraj linkove koji te zanimaju.

@Profesor Nadam se da se ne�e� ljutiti za ovaj link, ipak se radi o svima nama jako va�nim stvarima ;) A itekako ima veze sa stripovima :)

Pa objasnjenje za totalnog pocetnika nije bas kratko... Elem, skupicu neka upustva i FAQove i poslati svima na gmail za par dana kad dobijem malo vremena. Inace IRC kanali i njihov DCC/fserve metod je najbolji izvor za americke stripove (i poneki evropski). Bukvalno sve, ali sve moze da se skine!

Ja skidam sa ovim rapget-om, samo copy-pasteujem linkove u njega...
A za ovih stotinjak konana mi je trebalo desetak dana.A brzina mi i nije neka 7-10 kb/s.Zato sto imam flat rate tj. neogranicen net mesec dana, tako da kada izadjem negde ostavim da se skidaju ti linkovi 3-4 sata, ne moram stalno da ukucavam one stupidne sifre.Sto se tice tog cekanja izmedju downloada to je tako, ja recimo skinem 2-3 za redom i onda mi pise da cekam 20,30,40 minuta....
Moj ortak ima kablovski ili tako neki net. Jebote skida mu 240 kb/s. Meni nije bilo dobro kada sam video. Steta sto ga ne zanimaju stripovi...

Alias was written by Bendis and illustrated for most of its run by Michael nice boy, with covers by David Mack. It ran for 28 issues between the years 2002 and 2004, and was collected in four paperback collections (trade paperbacks). Characters from the series moved to Brian Michael Bendis' new comic book, The Pulse, which was promoted and widely seen as a continuation of Alias under a new name.

The main character of Alias is Jessica Jones, the former costumed superhero Jewel, now private investigator. This juxtaposition sets the tone for the series, which aims to present the dark underbelly of the Marvel Universe. However, the running thread from the first to the last issue is Jessica's character development, as the layers of her past and personality are revealed to the reader while, at the same time, she herself is trying to come to terms with them.

Alias was one of the titles that launched Marvel's MAX imprint, and was reported to have been one of the reasons why MAX was created. Marvel Publishing President Bill Jemas read a draft of the script for the first issue of Alias (which, characteristically, starts with the word "XXXX") and exclaimed "Why couldn't we publish this?" So Marvel set up the MAX line to carry such "R-Rated" material.

However, being under the MAX imprint imposed certain other limitations on what Bendis could do in the series. Specifically, he was not allowed to use many of Marvel's most famous characters, such as Spider-Man (with the exception of one minor cameo). Bendis gave this as one reason for ending the series and moving the characters to The Pulse.

The series was recognized with a nomination for the Squiddy Award for Best New Comic Series in 2001, the Award for Best Comics Series in 2002 and 2003, the Comics' Buyer's Guide Award for Favorite Comic Series in 2003, and the Harvey Award for Best New Series in 2002.

Imam Conan Dark Horse 1-25 plus nekoliko specijalni brojeva. Sada skidam #26, #28 i par specijalni brojeva.
Isto skidam sve Savage sword of conan 1-235. Ali files su veliki pa ce mi trebati danima da ih skinem.
Skinuo sam Buddy Longway, sve one sto nisu bili na ovom forumu ali su na belgijski (mislim da je belgian). takodje nekoliko Bluberija ali isto su na francuski.

Hvala igmanu za dopunu Konana, ako se ne ljutis prikljucicu je u gornji post da bude sa ostatkom porodice.

Malo sam fulao prosli put pa sam konana poslao dvaput, sad umesto ovog prvog stoje linkovi za Epic Illustrated (vidi gore).

Sve sam ih probao, nijedan ne radi! I kao �lag na tortu dolazi poo�tren re�im downloada za free korisnike: na skinuta 3 megabajta dolazi mi 45 minuta �ekanja (ili je tako samo kod mene?!)! �ini mi se da �u da odre�im kesu i dam 10 � RapidShareu za mesec dana jer �injenica je - vredi, a da budem iskren - sada mora.

Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser
One of Leiber�s original motives was to have a couple of fantasy heroes closer to true human stature than the likes of Howard�s Conan the Barbarian or Burroughs�s Tarzan. Fafhrd is a tall northern barbarian; Mouser is a small, mercurial thief. Both are rogues through and through� but theirs is a decadent world where you have to be a rogue to survive. They spend a lot of time drinking, feasting, wenching, brawling, stealing, and gambling, and are seldom fussy about who they hire out their swords to. But they are humane and�most of all�relish true adventure.
In 1991, Epic Comics published a four-issue comic book adaptation of seven of the stories: �Ill Met in Lankhmar� (issue 1), �The Circle Curse� and �The Howling Tower� (issue 2), �The Price of Pain Ease� and �Bazaar of the Bizarre� (issue 3), and �Lean Times in Lankhmar� and �When the Sea King�s Away� (issue 4). The comics were scripted by Howard Chaykin, who had drawn several issues of the earlier DC title, and pencilled by Mike Mignola, whose Hellboy comic book often has a similar feel to Leiber�s work. Hellboy himself shares some personality traits with Fafhrd. Mignola also did the jacket covers and interior art for the White Wolf collection.

Pa znam da ljudi gledaju uglavnom zadnju stranu, zato tu i napisem sta je dodato, a razlog zasto linkove dodajem na prvu, drugu ili koju vec stranu je zato da bi postojala bar kakva-takva organizacija istih., po autoru ili liku, svejedno.

Znam ali bi ti topici pojedinacno propali(ne bi se dugo zadrzali na prvoj strani), ovako su zajedno na topiku koji opstaje (o5 kolko-tolko) na prvoj stranici, i svaki novajlija moze na jednom mestu naci sve sto je propustio.

Fanaticno postujem red i organizaciju a ovo je najbolje sto sam mogao da smislim sto se organizacije tice. Zato i cekam da se kompetira neka grupa linkova koju najurim na raznim sajtovima, pa je tako skupljenu i skrpljenu postavim ovde. Jer u biti, sve ove linkove mozete naci na svim onim silnim adresama i forumima, a ja se samo trudim da ih ovde ponudim na tanjiru.

Ma, znam da cete se i u ovome snaci;-)))

"Hitman is a violent, darkly humorous and occasionally romantic comic book from DC Comics, written by Garth Ennis and illustrated by John McCrea.

The series stars Tommy Monaghan, a hitman from the Irish part of Gotham City who only kills "bad guys". In his first appearance, in The Demon Annual #2 (part of the "Bloodlines" crossover), he is bitten by an alien, granting him x-ray vision and the ability to read minds with telepathy. He sets himself up as "Hitman", an assassin who specializes in killing superhumans.

The series itself rarely pays attention to this convoluted set-up, though. Tommy often suffers a blow to the head that gives him a headache strong enough to prevent him from using his powers. He is also rarely hired to target actual superhumans, other than dangerous escapees from the local laboratory. The series alternates between down-to-earth antagonists (the Mafia, or British soldiers) and plotlines and over-the top ones (zombie fish, vampires, and dinosaurs, among others) but, even at its most ridiculous, the characters are realistically portrayed, if not necessarily sympathetic.

Despite its bizarre and often iconoclastic nature, the series is firmly entrenched in the DC Universe. Batman, The Joker, Green Lantern, Catwoman, Etrigan, and Superman all guest star at various points, and joking references are frequently made to then-current DC happenings (such as the long-haired Superman). It also crossed over with many DC events, including Final Night, One Million, and No Man's Land. There was even a oneshot pairing him with Lobo.

Although the character was given "Hitman" as a codename in his first appearance, he only referred to himself by that name once in his own series, in the very first issue; the rest of the time, he is referred to by his given name, although he was sometimes called "Hitman" in guest appearances."
